My hospital stay 2019

Published April 22, 2019 by chawlamonica1

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, I’ve been in the hospital since February 26, 2019. I have an autoimmune disorder called NMO, which makes me not walk. But it’s only temporary and my doctors are doing plasma replacement to help me walk again. Next stop for me is rehab.
Unfortunately, while I was in the hospital, my mom was injured. She fell at the hospital while visiting me and had to have right hip surgery. She’s in rehab now but doing much better and will be home soon.
Even though this has been a difficult time, I have my family taking care of me and my cat. I’m still running my ebay business and keeping in touch friends and family around the world.
Thank you for your support on my WhatsApp group. I miss everyone.

On Sunday we went to meet my dad’s friend. We went to Mints, an Indian restaurant.  I had a great weekend spending time with my family especially my nephew who is 2 years old.

Cat Rescue part 3

On this past Friday I went back to volunteer at the cat rescue. I found out that Sheba and Silver were adopted. I also learned that they received a new cat named Tuxie. He’s black with a little white. He likes to be pet on his head but does not like to be pet on his back. He is very lazy; he likes to sleep a lot. I really hope he gets adopted. It would really make me happy to see more people volunteer to help with animal rescues.

                                                       Outreach 3

On October 9th I went back to the Outreach Center. I packed Christmas lights and decorations for 2 senior centers. After I was finished packing those items, I delivered the decorations to the 2 senior centers. One was in Amityville, and the other was in Lindenhurst. I really enjoy my volunteer work with the center. It’s a great place to volunteer and they could use more help.

Gerald Ryan Outreach Center Today 9-25-18 I started volunteering at the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center. The outreach center is located in Wyandanch, NY. They have several different jobs. You can work in pantry, hang clothes, work at the front desk or do filing. Today I packaged baby wipes in a big bag and put it a shelf. They use the baby wipes for local people who cannot afford them. The Outreach also provides clothing and food to local people in need. The Outreach needs more volunteers, if you’re interested in volunteering some where it’s a great place. Thank You For Reading Monica
